Different Types of Coatings Quick Overview

Wax: this is usually in the form of carnauba wax and protects a car for about 3 weeks to 2 months if under good conditions.

Paint Sealant: a chemical paint sealant that bonds to the paint and lasts for about 4-6 months

Teflon Paint Sealant: another chemical paint sealant with Teflon made by DuPont inc. that is used on pots and pans and lasts for about 3-6 months depending on the conditions.

Spray Ceramic Coating: a type of paint sealant polymer with SiO2 technology that allows the paint to have the water beading effect and stronger protection against the elements. Can be applied to glass, wheels, paint of course, and plastic trim.

Nano Ceramic Coating: an advanced type of ceramic coating that is semi-permanent and must be applied in a controlled environment for most products. This lasts between 1-4 years. I have found that while marketing efforts will have you believe that ceramic coatings can last over 5 years, in real-world cases this is not possible. The only case where this is possible is if the car is not used often and kept garaged. We don’t recommend this service if you plan on getting a new vehicle every year or 2

We do spray ceramic coatings and nano-ceramic coatings. We find that these are the most effective for exterior detailing and ceramic coating applications to be able to protect as much of the vehicle as possible for as long as possible.
