Top 5 Tools for Interior Detailing

Interior Car Detailing

Why Interior Detailing is Important for Your Vehicle

There are several reasons why it is important to get your car's interior detailed regularly:

Health and Hygiene For Your Vehicle

Over time, dust, dirt, and other contaminants can accumulate in your car's interior, which can create an unhealthy environment. Detailing helps to remove these contaminants, improving the air quality and reducing the risk of allergies and respiratory problems.

Maintenance Of Your Vehicle to Optimize Lifespan

Regular detailing can help to maintain the condition of your car's interior, preventing wear and tear from damaging the upholstery and other surfaces. This can help to extend the lifespan of your car's interior and maintain its resale value.

Keeping Up the Appearance of Your Vehicle

Detailing can help to restore the appearance of your car's interior, making it look clean and fresh. This can be especially important if you are planning to sell your car, as a well-maintained interior can increase the resale value.

Making Your Car Experience More Comfortable

A clean and well-maintained interior can make your driving experience more comfortable and enjoyable, which can be especially important for long trips or commutes.

Maintaining a Professional Look

If you use your car for business purposes, a clean and well-maintained interior can create a professional impression and help you to project a positive image.

#5 - Compressed Air - Tornador Pneumatic Cleaning Tool

This tool connects to an air compressor and helps blow out crevices and clean sensitive or hard to reach materials. It can spray a cleaning solution as well so that you can clean crevices or dry shampoo upholstery and carpeting. It can speed up how long an interior detail takes and really makes for a professional detail, however it is not entirely essential.

#4 - Detailing Brush - Chemical Guys Boar’s Hair Detailing Brush

These brushes are great for getting great scrubbing power into crevices and can be used for agitating soap to shampoo your car seats or get into crevices. We reommend the Chemical Guy’s Boar’s hair brush for it’s effectiveness. We don’t recommend using it on sensitive surfaces like navigation screens or gloss trim pieces.

#3 - Steam Cleaner - McCulloch MC1385

Steam is essential for deep cleaning and removing stains which is why the McCulloch Steamer takes the #3 spot. This tool can disinfect your interior which is fantastic for maintaining a truly clean interior. We recommend McCulloch for its affordability and effectiveness.

#2 - Degreaser Soap - Super Clean Degreasing Soap and Microfiber Towels

While this is not technically a tool, this is essential to get rid of grime in a vehicle. This is the #2 spot for this reason. If a detail doesn’t get rid of grime and grease first, it can’t be properly disinfected. Physical removal of dirt is essential to a proper interior detail. We recommend super clean for its exceptional dilutability and buff microfiber towels for their smaller and thinner size to get into crevices.

#1 - Vacuum - Rigid 4 Gallon Portable Shop Vacuum

This takes the #1 spot because it is the first step to getting your vehicle looking better. This is usually the first or second step in getting your car back to looking good again. Usually vacuuming takes between 15 minutes to 1 hour for a thorough vacuuming and is almost half the process of interior details for some vehicles. We recommend the Rigid vacuum for its portability and suction power.
