So when it comes to interior detailing there is a very wide range of techniques and operating procedures between detailers to the point that interior detailing is hard to describe. Overall interior detailing should be to remove many stains and most odors to bring a vehicle back to looking good again.

Whether the vehicle is trashed or whether it is immaculate, the same operating procedures should be followed. This is the only way to maintain some sense of standard in a business if you have the same procedure no matter the vehicle.

If a vehicle is in need of restoration cleaning services, then there should be a service for that, but a general interior detail should be designed to envelop as much of the spectrum of a car’s cleanliness as possible.

This is where we find ourselves with interior detailing. I have found that shampooing/extracting twice and steam cleaning is the most effective way to clean a car. For other parts of the car, sensitive cleaning techniques such as pneumatic air cleaning tools (Tornador) and soft boar’s hair brushes are effective at cleaning hard-to-reach areas and sensitive materials with steam intermittently used to remove sticky substances.

Overall the way a detailer cleans upholstery and carpets is what differentiates detailers from each other.
